Havala McKinney
PT, DPT, MSPT, PCS, CEIM
Dr. McKinney studied Spanish and Sports Medicine graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Guilford College. She earned her entry level Physical Therapy degree with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Widener University and a post-professional Doctor of Physical Therapy Pediatric Science degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. She is licensed in Maryland and North Carolina, a Board-certified Pediatrics Specialist, a Certified Educator of Infant Massage and holds Pediatric Kinesiotaping certification. She has experience in adult and pediatric physical therapy and has worked primarily with children and families across several therapeutic and recreational settings in a variety of counties in Maryland through employment with Care Resources, The Maryland School for the Blind, Baltimore County Public Schools and The Baltimore County Infants and Toddlers program. Dr. McKinney is a Resident Mentor for Johns Hopkins/George Washington University Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency program and has lectured for Towson University, Loyola University, and Medical University of South Carolina. At state and national conferences she has presented on topics including on-time mobility and assistive technology. She is committed to multi-disciplinary professional collaboration and partnering with families for supporting child development and the skills needed for active participation in routines and activities most important to them at home and in their communities. Outside of the clinic, Dr. McKinney enjoys running, letter writing, reading, camping, skiing and motorcycle riding with her family.
Catherine Jobe
PT, DPT
Catherine received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2012 from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. She has over 12 years of experience working with clients across the lifespan, working with diverse populations both pediatric and adult. She began her career working with adults & adolescents with a variety of diagnoses, predominantly neurological and orthopedic in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She transitioned to an exclusive pediatric practice 5 years ago. Catherine approaches care of the whole child, focusing on a floor-time inspired approach with emphasis on building rapport & relationships with the child for more effective outcomes. She believes in a collaborative approach to allow the child to reach his or her maximum functional potential. Her clinical interests include developmental delay, neurological diagnoses, toe walking, hypotonia & building functional strength, balance training & aquatic therapy. She has extensive training both classroom based & hands-on in aquatic therapy as an adjunct to land based care.In her free time, Catherine enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, enjoying the outdoors, and going to the gym.
Alison Blumenthal
DPT
Alison earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland. She has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient physical therapy working with adults and children, home health and geriatric care, and most recently pediatrics. Alison is dedicated to helping children develop functional skills to better participate in play with their peers and to helping families work on skills their children need at home. In her spare time Alison enjoys working out, reading, and running after her own children.
Teri McCain
PTA
Teri graduated from UMBC in 1997 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in biology. She went to Carroll Community College and graduated summa cum laude from their Physical therapist assistant program in 2000. Teri has worked in outpatient facilities, Kennedy Krieger Institute and in the school system with a focus on pediatrics throughout her career. Teri grew up in Baltimore county and moved to Carroll County in 2007. In her free time, Teri loves spending time with her family and being active.
Alexandra Parra
DPT
Alexandra graduated from the University of Southern California with a doctorate in physical therapy. She completed a pediatric specific residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and George Washington University program. Alex is a Pediatric Certified Specialist and focuses on medically complex cases. She has taught at The George Washington University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and has been very active in the community. Alexandra is the recipient of the Thomas Wilson Sanitarium of Baltimore City Grant for her research on Monitoring ICU-acquired Weakness to Optimize Functional Outcomes in Critically Ill Children. She has presented her research at the International ICU Conference. She is the founding Co-President of Charm City Trykers and is currently the standing President. Alexandra is the current program coordinator for The Johns Hopkins Hospital and George Washington University Pediatric Residency Program. She has also recently become DMI certified (Dynamic Movement Intervention) and is working on her teaching certificate.
